Lucy Skye is the Regional Officer of the NAS South West and has written a book called ‘The Adventure of Maisie Voyager.
“I began writing the book without thinking any of the characters would have autism, but as I was writing, I began to realise that much of Maisie’s personality could be seen as being quite autistic. I was very keen however, that Maisie didn’t become an ‘autistic’ character. I just want her to be Maisie, and explore the world in her own way. The fact she might have autism is just one element of her personality. Perhaps part of me also hopes that we can start to see people for being more than just their autism, we need to be open to all that they are and can be.”

APEX is a community organisation, formed in Cornwall in September 2010, which aims to provide access to creative opportunities through the Arts for youth and adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities. Last year they recorded The Voice Outside CD featuring songs co-written by 8 participants and they are currently practising to take them LIVE.

I am absolutely Gobsmackt !
I last Kyle in Osnabrück in 1984 -85 and have not heard at all that he was autistic.
I saw a thread on you-tube and thought to myself that guy looks like an old Military Band mate Taff Coleman.
Taff sadly left us recently, but I quess his music is living on in his amazingly talented son.I had heard of Savants and what they are capable of, but this is absolutely stunning.I have been a professional singer the last 20 years and could only dream of singing anywhere near as accurately as Kyle.
I cried when I watched the first video and will follow his progress from now on.
