Over recent years surfing has become a popular therapeutic approach for individuals who have autism and Kyle is no exception. His love of anything aquatic coupled with the oceans natural rhythm surfing seemed the perfect pursuit.

A day was organised by ‘Green-light Care’ for Kyle and friends to spend an entire afternoon learning the surf protocols, followed by taking to the water. Blue skies and two to three foot waves made for perfect surf conditions with everyone achieving great results.

Surfing has proven to reduce anxiety and help with promoting overall wellbeing. After Kyle’s surfing experience he certainly appeared calmer and very relaxed. A great day was had by all.
